New Honda Aviator And CBF Stunner
Hondas range of motorcycles and scooters for the Indian masses have always scored high on the reliability factor, and while this has been consistent with all their offerings till date, bikes like the CBF Stunner and the Honda Aviator have received a special applause, mostly from their male aficionados for their great styling. Dashing dual-tone colour schemes and sporty new graphics for both the CBF Stunner and the high-altitude Honda Aviator scooter now gives these 'sturdy saddles' a far more striking overall look
Both being sturdy and cost effective performers, even in the worst city riding conditions, the Honda Aviator and the CBF Stunner now get a bit more glamorous for the road, as Honda introduces an entire range of dual tone colour schemes and metallic paint jobs for both the models.
The New Honda Aviator will now be available in two new premium and refreshing colour options , namely Berry Purple and Sunbeam White, along with the three original colours that the scooter was launched in 2008.
The new muscular metallic skin for the Aviator should blend well with the scooters overall build and tall boy stance. All other features on the freshly painted Aviator, like its signature front disc brake and comfortable KVTA seats will continue to come as standard on models featuring the new look.
The CBF Stunner on the other hand, has received some funky designer stripes in black, white and grey along with the logo on its front cowl, making the 125 cc sports machine look every bit its actual DNA. The stripes will accompany two new refreshing colours for the CBF Stunner, Candy Palm Green and Black, which add to the motorcycles existing two shades already on offer in the market.

2012 Honda Gold-Wing GL1800 Airbag - Press Release
Honda Gold Wing: A Legend In Its Own Time
It's a beloved motorcycle that has earned many titles, awards and nicknames over the decades: icon, legend, superstar, best-in-class, the definitive yardstick among touring motorcycles-and so much more. Year in and year out, such acclaim flows freely and rightly so; for more than 35 seasons, the Honda Gold Wing first defined, then re-defined over and over again just how much performance and comfort a motorcycle can deliver to two people, whether the plan is a weekend ride or a cross-country adventure. Three-and-a-half decades represents an eternity for most motorized products, yet as the Gold Wing enters its 36th year of production, it not only continues to lead all would-be challengers, it also continues to evolve. And so we see that the 2012 Gold Wing once again establishes a new and higher standard for what the good life should truly be at the cutting edge of long-distance two-wheeled motoring.
When initially released to the public in 1975, the first Gold Wing literally dazzled the motorcycling press and consumers alike. Never before had the two-wheeled realm witnessed anything like this machine, one that simultaneously wielded world-class power and incredible cross-country capabilities. In short, the 999cc Gold Wing immediately carved out an ber-achiever niche all to itself, and to this day no other name offers such a complete and well-balanced blend of motorcycle touring qualities. As decade after decade rolled along, the Honda Gold Wing maintained its supremacy by not remaining static; growth and change have been constant by every criteria, be it displacement, number of cylinders, chassis configuration, power, handling, comfort or innovation.
Such top-dog status has been repeatedly confirmed upon the Honda Gold Wing by the most rigorous of all critics: the buying public. And the statistics don't lie; having produced a total of more than 640,000 units over its lifespan, the Gold Wing outstrips all would-be competitors by such a wide margin it literally forms a class of one.
The first group of horizontally opposed four-cylinder Gold Wing engines steadily grew from 999cc to 1182cc over a dozen years' time, and upon its 1988 debut, the 1520cc Gold Wing introduced the then-radical notion of a six-cylinder engine for a touring motorcycle. That powerplant configuration carried over into 2000, when the next-generation six-cylinder Gold Wing grew in displacement to 1832cc to gain a remarkable increase in performance throughout the powerband. Better yet, it also took on a dramatically new athletic nature with regard to handling, thanks in large part to its sportbike-like box-section aluminum frame. To this day, the 1800 delivers impressive performance when it's put to the spurs-more than enough to astonish riders who have never experienced its capabilities first hand. Those in the know understand such capabilities fully, since the 1800 Gold Wing design team was headed up by a long-time Honda sportbike engineer who is also an avid sport-riding enthusiast.
Having eclipsed the realm of long-range mounts in terms of out-and-out performance, the Gold Wing also extends the horizons of comfort and amenities for rider and passenger alike. And because it's a Honda, the 2012 Gold Wing incorporates innovative features that break new ground in the world of two wheels by offering an unparalleled level of technical sophistication.
In short, when you mount up a Gold Wing, you're riding a living legend-and reaping all the attendant rewards.

Futuristic Chopper concept to gratify bikers sensibilities by Honda Motorcycle
Honda always see modders and bikers adorning their motorbikes with whacky features, just to grab attention, on a somewhat regular basis nowadays. These fluent bikes, when they snarl on the roads, make heartbeats stop. Well, if you are already getting goose bumps imagining one, then check out the Honda Chopper designed by Pete Norris that seeks to combine form with functionality.
Petes bike has been fitted with long front suspensions, which makes it look quite different. A feet forward seating arrangement will endow the rider with total comfort while riding it. Its handle bars face downwards to ensure easy maneuverability. The designer has always loved the supersonic bike from Return of the Jedi and agrees that he has derived some inspiration from it.
The motorbike has been wedged with a powerful biofuel engine, which will make it roar like a monster. Apart from this, the wheel hubs come embedded with electric motors. Normally, futuristic vehicles, which have been caked with sci-fi features, dont rank high on the functionality graph.
Honda Chopper, with a crazy outline, is a practical vehicle and will zoom on the road with the latest technology. Its attention grabbing facade and speedy status are bound to make hearts skip a beat.

New Honda Mid Concept in Action
Via: Spy Shot: Honda New Mid Concept in Action. The scooter-ish prototype was photographed road testing along with the forthcoming Crosstourer adventure-touring mount and another mystery model which appears to be a CBF entry level mount making use of Hondas dual-clutch transmission.
Spy shot specialists Brenda Priddy & Company acquired the photos after the three rides were seen testing in Europe this past week. The spy photo doesnt exactly clarify the nebulous market segment targeted by the NMC, as it was seen testing with a two-up pillion, as well as saddlebags and a topcase. Shall we all hail a new sport-scooter-touring class anyone?
The New Mid Concept was one of three prototypes introduced by Honda at the 2010 EICMA Milan Bike Show. Difficult to classify, Honda PR described Mid Concept as a model that reinvents the way we look at two-wheeled travel. The grandiose statement was applied to a what looked to us like a giant near step-thru maxiscoot something along the lines of the Yamaha T-MAX. (Stay tuned, by the way, for MotoUSAs first-ever maxiscoot comparison review, which is currently in the works.)
The camouflaged prototype shares the same silhouette as the NMC revealed at Milan. The prototype reveals feet-forward maxi-scoot ergos and rolls on what appear to be motorcycle-spec wheel sizes. The initial Milan concept touted conventional 17-inch wheels, though the prototypes spoke pattern differs from the concept and looks identical to the hoops adorning the reputed dual-clutch equipped CBF also snapped by BP&C

Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) present 2012 Moto3 machine in Catalunya
On Thursday, 2nd, June 2011 at the Catalunya Circuit, Barcelona, Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) will present the NSF250R 4 stroke machine to be used for the future Moto3 class in 2012 that will replace the current 2 stroke, 125cc model used in the GP125 class. This high performance, lightweight and compact racing machine inherits important elements from the RS125R and will allow users to ride with the same sense of comfort whilst learning the basics to move up from entry level to the premier class, serving as a springboard in creating future MotoGP Championship riders.
From 1976's MT125R to the RS125R, which finished production with the 2009 model, Honda has produced an accumulative total of 15,000 market racing machines and over this long period of 34 years, Honda has broadened the base of 2 wheel motorsports both in Japan and Worldwide whilst also supporting a number of riders.
During this time, Honda has nurtured all 29 Japan Championship 125 cc class champions, a grand total of 130 Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (WGP) victories, 11 manufacturer championships and 9 champions with the RS125R.
Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso, currently riding the RC212V in MotoGP, both won World Championships aboard the RS125R and built up a great deal of experience.
Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) has also supported customers by selling kit parts to make the engine and other components more powerful while continuing with sales of base vehicles, thereby expanding constructor business opportunities.
Later, environmental challenges for mass production models were pushed to a global level, accompanied by a similar shift to 4 strokes for motorcycle racing machines.
The shift came from the the pinnacle of World Championship Grand Prix racing, moving from the GP500 (2 stroke, 500 cc) to the MotoGP (4 stroke, 990 cc or less at the time; currently 800 cc and next year returning to 1000cc) in 2002 and starting the Moto2 (one make 4 stroke, 600 cc Honda engine) in place of the GP250 (2 stroke, 250 cc) in 2010.
The new NSF250R will be presented at the Catalunya Circuit at 15h30 on Thursday, 2nd June in the Relax Area of the MotoGP Paddock.
This will be followed by a demonstration lap ridden by Alex Criville at approximately 17h00 on Friday 3rd June and a further demonstration lap after the MotoGP warm-up session on Sunday 5th June.

Repsol Honda Team - Le Mans Free Practice Sessions - 2011 MotoGP
2011 MotoGP : After their strong performances in Portugal, the Repsol Honda Team (trio) maintained momentum and rhythm in the first free practice sessions of the Grand Prix of France at Le Mans. The team returned to work with a similar set up used two weeks ago in Estoril, a comparable track layout wise, and after the first two sessions the riders are confident in improving their pace and performance looking for good qualifying results.
Casey Stoner topped the time sheets in both free practice sessions, with Dani Pedrosa the third fastest rider of the day and Andrea Dovizioso sixth.
Stoner's fastest lap time of 1'33.782 in his first outing with the RC212V in Le Mans was just a fraction off Valentino Rossi's pole position last season (1'33.408) and almost half a second quicker than the existing Circuit Lap Record of 1'34.215 set by Rossi in 2008.
Stoner kept a similar set up to Portugal and focused on improving traction in the rear of his machine. Pedrosa, after missing the majority of the post race test in Portugal due to his physical condition, took his time this afternoon to try the new Ohlins front fork and also both hard and soft tyres to compare.
Dovizioso spent the sessions trying to improve stability under braking and working on set up for tomorrow's qualifying session.
CASEY STONER 1st - 1'33.782
FP1 - 1:34.133, 20 laps, 84 km.
FP2 - 1:33.782, 20 laps, 84 km.
"The track has quite good grip and we have a better feeling than in the past few years in this track and we are very happy, we went out this morning and didn't change so much from Portugal as the tracks are pretty similar for us, we felt good immediately and then changed a few things and tried something we haven't tested before on the Honda which seemed to give us more traction in the rear without affecting anything else.
"The weather is fantastic here and I hope it stays this way! We're happy to be where we are and we'll continue to work tomorrow morning to ensure we have the best set up for qualifying. Every session we do we're trying to modify something to improve the bike, I don't know if this is good enough to get pole at the moment as people are able to pull out a very good lap on the soft tyre, today we are fast but I'm sure tomorrow the others will also be fast, at this moment we feel comfortable with the settings with just a few more adjustments to make tomorrow, hopefully we can stay ahead of the rest".
DANI PEDROSA 3rd - 1'34.431
FP1 - 1:34.431, 22 laps, 92 km.
FP2 - 1:34.478, 23 laps, 96 km.
"In the morning it was difficult with the cold conditions to find some grip and then in the afternoon the grip got better but we couldn't improve as much as we expected. Anyway we have some ideas and I hope to make a step forward tomorrow. We need to work on the front and rear suspension to get a better feeling, the bike was moving a lot this afternoon entering and at the exit of the corners. We have to keep the momentum and bounce back again because we are doing well, the bike is going very strong and we have to keep focused and work hard".
ANDREA DOVIZIOSO 6th - 1'34.705
FP1 - 1:34.808, 22 laps, 92 km.
FP2 - 1:34.705, 21 laps, 88 km.
This morning we started well and we continued working on the set up of the bike in the afternoon. We tried a different setting on the other bike to improve the stability under braking but we didnt get the results we expected. Tomorrow we will continue to fine tune the set up and the electronics.
"I feel I have margin to improve so Im not too worried, I have always had good results on this track and the feeling with the machine is good. Im not happy of the nine tenths gap from Casey, he is very fast, but apart from him we are closer to the first riders. We need to keep on working and improve the race pace."
MARC MARQUEZ - Moto2
FP1 - 1'39.764, 23 laps, 96 km.
FP2 - 1'39.236, 21 laps, 88 km.
"We are happy with the work we did today, as each time we took the track we improved our times. In the first Free Session, it was a bit difficult because we arrive to a circuit hat is new for me, although I know it from 125cc, but the lines and the references are different. We have to go slowly to avoid any mistakes.
"I crashed due to an oil spill on track. I did not see the flag, or maybe they had not time to show it, but it was nothing serious. In the second Practice Session, we followed the same line, improving with each step. It is clear that we need to improve a bit in some aspects, but we will be again near the fastest in no time and that is always positive."

2012 Honda CRF150RB/R
Presented as an "R" and an "RB" (for the expert mined racer), the Honda CRF150RB/R has undergone some changes to ensure its place at the top of the class. When Honda released their revolutionary CRF150 back in 2008 it shook the mini-cycle and small-bore racing world to its core. Honda welcomes this class-leading machine back into its line-up for 2012.
Honda claims improved power, torque and drive throughout the powerband due to a new cylinder head, piston, camshaft and carburetor. Revised suspension settings on both the front forks and rear shock promise to improve suspension travel action to smooth out the rough stuff.
The 2012 Honda CRF150RB/R possesses a 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke/four-valve engine (bore & stroke: 66mm X 43.7mm) with an impressive compression ratio of 11.7:1. Carburetion is through a Keihin 32mm flat slide.
The five-speed transmission with a *420 chain, the RB model is fitted with a 15-tooth countershaft sprocket and a 56-tooth rear sprocket (the R model has a 50-tooth rear sprocket). Front forks are 37mm, leading axle, fully adjustable Showa cartridge type that deliver 10.8-inches of travel. Pro-Link, fully adjustable Showa single shock on the rear provides 11.5-inches of usable travel.
Brakes are single disc front and rear, with a 220mm rotor on the front and a 190mm disc on the rear. The RB wheels are 70/100-19-inch front, and a 90/100-16-inch on the rear.
The R model has a 17-inch front and a 14-inch rear. Wheelbase is a nimble 50.6-inches (49.6-inches for the R). Seat height on the RB is 34.1-inches, while the R model is slightly lower at 32.8-inches.
Ground clearance on the RB is 13.2-inches, on the R it's 11.9-inches. The gas tank holds 1.14 gallons of petrol. Fully fueled the CRF150RB-Expert weighs in at 187 pounds, and the R at 183 pounds.
Back in the day (i.e. my day), the idea of a 150cc mini-cycle would have been a quaint concept for a pit bike. However, given the new realms of technology and suspension, the CRF150RB and R are substantial mounts.
It makes me wish I were a kid again with this type of quality race bike being made available. If you have a budding Motocross racer at home, the Honda CRF150RB (and R) deserve taking a serious look at.

The Class of the Open-Class MX Bikes: Honda CRF450R
Long regarded as the bike of choice in the big-bore motocross division, the 2011 CRF450R incorporates a host of improvements that will help this bike retain its standing as the yardstick by which all others in the class are compared. Various tweaks to the engine tuning broaden the already prodigious powerband-more low-end pull and midrange grunt-while also enhancing throttle response via a new throttle body.
In addition, revised suspension linkage and settings yield improved control, increased ride plushness and enhanced rear-wheel traction. A new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) with a larger damper piston (24mm versus 20mm) produces even better tracking traits than before. In addition, the CRF450R now features a newly designed muffler that meets the sound levels of 94 decibels required by some racing organizations in 2011, making it competition-legal right off the showroom floor. All this and more make the 2011 CRF450R a shoo-in to maintain its dominant role among open-class MX bikes. MSRP $8,199. Available in Red beginning October 2010.
The Award-Winning Honda CRF250R Gets Better Yet in 2011
Despite winning numerous comparison tests and awards in 2010, the CRF250R enters the new season sporting a number of improvements that will help it continue its winning ways. A new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) with a larger, 24mm damper piston aids tracking precision, and new suspension settings front and rear help give this stellar-handling machine even better chassis balance for 2011. Changes to engine tuning now give the CRF250R a stronger bottom-end and midrange hit, and this 2011 model features a new muffler that meets sound levels of 94 dB required by some racing organizations. MSRP $7,199. Available in Red beginning October 2010.
Family-Friendly CRF70F and CRF50F Return in 2011
In a completely different segment within the vast Honda spectrum, the family-friendly CRF70F and CRF50F return to the lineup in 2011. Featuring an automatic clutch, low seat height and a three-speed transmission, the CRF70F has long served as a practically perfect choice for beginning riders. Credit too the torquey 72cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine that has grown to near-legendary status for reliability over the years. Likewise, for more than 40 years the CRF50F has introduced legions of riders the world over to the sport of motorcycling. It tips the scales at an unintimidating 110 pounds and the little CRF50F boasts a tough 49cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine renown for its durability plus an ultra-low seat height, automatic clutch, three-speed transmission and an inverted fork. Both of these machines represent the fun that turns the dreams of beginning riders into trail-time reality. CRF50F MSRP $1,499; CRF70F $1,899. Both models available in Red beginning October 2010.
Options, Options and More Options: FourTrax Rancher Family
Year after year, more and more ATV riders come to sing the praises of the ready-and-willing FourTrax Rancher-and for good cause. This family of full-sized machines, assembled at Honda's plant in Timmonsville, SC, has proven many times over to be the most dependable partner you could ever hope for, whether the day calls for work or fun. At the heart of each Rancher beats a powerful liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 420cc engine with convenient electric starting and plenty of grunt for getting the toughest jobs done. From there, it's a matter of choosing the features that best fit your riding needs, conditions and desires.
Many Rancher fans swear by the base model FourTrax Rancher with its automatic clutch and manual-shift five-speed transmission with reverse because it's such a workhorse. Other owners are equally enamored of the FourTrax Rancher ES with its remarkable Electric Shift Program (ESP) that shifts with consummate ease with the touch of a handlebar-mounted button. Others will allow that while these two-wheel-drive Ranchers are great, the addition of the four-wheel-drive option found in the manual-shift FourTrax Rancher 4x4 and the ESP-equipped FourTrax Rancher 4x4 ES with their easy-to use TraxLok 4WD/2WD selector makes a good thing even better. And then there are those who love to opt for the top-tier models, and in this case that would be the automatic-transmission 4x4 FourTrax Rancher AT and FourTrax Rancher AT with Electric Power Steering. Both of these upscale models feature five-speed auto-shifting or push-button ESP shifting, plus four-wheel disc brakes and independent rear suspension.
That's a lot of variations on one great theme, but no matter which model you select you'll see why Honda's FourTrax Rancher has long remained a favorite. MSRP TBD. Two-wheel drive models available in Red and Olive; available early 2011. 4x4 models available in Red, Olive and Camo; available December 2010.
The TRX250X Offers Full-Sized Fun
In the sport ATV category, the TRX250X delivers full-sized ergonomics and it's also full of great features including electric starting and Honda's innovative SportClutch that enables the rider to experience manual clutch actuation with the advantage of no stalling. That makes it easy to enjoy the plentiful power on tap and the five-speed transmission plus reverse for day-long adventuring. It's no wonder that the sporty and fun-to-ride TRX250X continues to stand out as a favorite among beginners as well as longtime riders, year after year. MSRP TBD. Available in Red and Black beginning September 2010.
