2012 Yamaha Majesty Press Release

Yamaha Announces the All-New 132 mpg* 2012 Zuma 50F and the 2012 Majesty Scooters

Cypress, California, June 8, 2011 The all-new 2012 Zuma 50F is a tough, yet sporty 49cc scooter that makes going places fun, even commuting to work or school. It features a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke engine that is powerful, quiet, and low-maintenance. Sharp new styling and twin headlights on this new model update the original tough, off-road image of the Zuma, while fat tires give that go anywhere look. In addition, the Zuma 50F achieves fuel economy up to an estimated 132 mpg*.

Electronic fuel injection provides smooth, seamless power and nearly instantaneous starts while the fully automatic V-belt transmission provides easy, twist-the-throttle-and-go operation. The pushbutton electric starting gives ultimate ease of operation and the air-induction system and exhaust catalyst technology reduce air pollution. The large-gauge steel pipe frame offers strength and rigidity and the 1.2-gallon fuel tank positioned low in the center tunnel provides centralized mass and extra convenience the tank can be refueled without opening the seat, unlike many scooters. The stepped seat allows for an open and roomy ride for two, along with lots of locking storage underneath and added conveniences like an inner pocket and fold-out hook.

The all-new 2012 Zuma 50F comes in Raven, Team Yamaha Blue/White or Alpine White with an MSRP of $2,490 and will be available in dealerships nationwide beginning in September.

The 2012 Majesty is a high-tech transportation unit that blurs the boundaries between scooter and motorcycle highly utilitarian performance. The rugged, reliable and powerful 395cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine and fully automatic transmission mean there is more than enough power to run at highway speeds, with room for two and plenty of storage space. The electronic fuel injection delivers excellent throttle response and low-maintenance reliability, while the dual chamber air box, air injection system and exhaust catalyst technology reduce air pollution. The aluminum, die-cast alloy main frame with steel tube sub frame is light and rigid for increased performance and handling. Full instrumentation includes an analog speedometer and tachometer, along with an LCD multifunction display that includes a fuel gaug e, coolant temperature gauge, ambient temperature gauge, plus V-belt and oil indicator lights.

The Majesty achieves fuel economy up to an estimated 50 mpg* with a fuel tank that holds 3.7 gallons of gas.

The 2012 Majesty comes in Charcoal with an MSRP of $6,750 and will be available in dealerships nationwide in August.

* Fuel economy estimates are based on US EPA exhaust emission certification data obtained by Yamaha. Your actual mileage will vary depending on road conditions, how you ride and maintain your vehicle, accessories, cargo, and operator/passenger weight.

2011 Piaggio MP3 400

2011 Piaggio MP3 400 Press Release:
2011-Piaggio-MP3-400

PIAGGIO MP3 300 ie and 400 ie

A unique, innovative three-wheeled design with two front wheels. Experience levels of safety and roadholding that would be impossible with a two-wheeler, matched with power and verve: pure fun for maximum riding enjoyment. A new concept of mobility that transcends the purely technical aspect of transport to revolutionise the city streets.
For 2010, the Mp3 range has been updated in both style and technical content: the medium engine size has now grown to 300 cc to deliver more low-end torque and improve fuel economy.

Launched in 2006, the Piaggio Mp3 astonished the world with its two independently sprung, tilting front wheels: an absolutely innovative technological solution that redefined the very concept of dynamic stability.
For 2010, the mid-sized engine variant of the Mp3 has grown to 300 cc. The larger new engine capacity offers significant benefits in terms of both performance, with more low-end urge, and fuel consumption. Across the range, new front and rear light clusters emphasise the sleekness of the forms and add a touch of elegance to the unmistakable silhouette of the new Mp3 family.

The mid-sized engine variant of the Piaggio Mp3 has grown from 250 to 300 cc.
The new 300 cc engine with electronic fuel injection delivers 22.5 hp at 6,500 rpm, and produces a maximum torque of 23,2 Nm at 6,500 rpm: values that are better than the output offered by the 250 unit replaced by the new engine. These figures translate to greater responsiveness and even more sparkling performance, making the Piaggio Mp3 300 ie capable of long range commuting in complete comfort.
The 300 cc version of the Mp3 introduces a groundbreaking technological first for its class: state of the art Ride by Wire technology for electronic throttle control. On the new Piaggio Mp3 300 ie, there is in fact no mechanical connection between the throttle grip and the throttle valve located in the intake duct, which modulates the amount of air mixed with the fuel. The result of the electronic control is an optimised air/fuel mixture, which turns into smoother power delivery and therefore into enhanced riding comfort.

Piaggio Mp3 40 ie is driven by the powerful and reliable, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid cooled and electronically fuel injected 400 cc engine, topping the Mp3 range with an impressive 34 hp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 37.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Piaggio Mp3 300 ie and Mp3 400 ie boast elegant styling and premium equipment for class beating comfort. The elegant looks are emphasised by a car-like grille, premium trim, a blue-tinted windscreen and the practical rear grab-handle with incorporated passenger backrest.
The new headlights, now with silver backing, and the new taillight emphasise the sleek forms of the Mp3, as well as ensuring optimum visibility in both daylight and night conditions.
Comfort is guaranteed by the wide, ergonomic saddle, designed to ensure the maximum space for both rider and passenger, as well as the large windshield that provides excellent protection against wind and rain. Last but not least, the helmet compartment, accessible from both the saddle and the rear hatch, offers unbeatable space, with an incredible 65 litre capacity for carrying objects up to a metre in length.

Piaggio Mp3: out of this world.

Riding the Piaggio Mp3 is an experience that revolutionises the very concept of mobility, with the dual wheeled front suspension system ensuring levels of stability in curves far superior to any normal scooter. At speed, even when riding behind other vehicles, the Piaggio Mp3 remains glued to the road and always delivers maximum performance in total safety. The benefits of the three wheel revolution can be felt particularly on wet roads and in other riding conditions that are critical for conventional two-wheelers.
On city and urban streets, Piaggio Mp3 is unrivalled in terms of safety: cobblestones, poor surfaces, tramlines and manhole covers are dispatched with previously unattainable ease and stability.
Measuring no more that a maxi scooter and boasting incredible agility, the Piaggio Mp3 is completely at home in the city centre. It is also safe remarkably easy to park, as the electrohydraulic front suspension hold system means that it remains upright even without using the stand.
The revolutionary Piaggio Mp3 boasts incredibly short braking distances unmatched by anything else in the scooter world: even when just using the front brake, the powerful triple disc brake system and incredible grip of the front end ensure stopping distances 20% shorter than the best performing scooter.
When the road leaves the town behind, the Piaggio Mp3 really shows what it is made of. Road holding, cornering safety and lean angle unattainable for conventional scooters guarantee immense riding satisfaction on fast country roads.

2011 Piaggio Beverly Tourer 300 Press Release Features

NEW PIAGGIO BEVERLY

After nearly a decade of history and success, Piaggio Beverly gets a full revamp in style and technology. The new Beverly boasts a stylish, unique look and offers safety and performance levels in line with the reputation of the scooter that has dominated the market during the first decade of the millennium.

Available in the 125 and 300 cc engine capacity versions, the Beverly stands out for its top-of-the-class equipment and finish.

Piaggio Beverly is the scooter that revolutionized the market with its nimble handling, reliability and safety and went on to become the top-selling model in the competitive, prestigious segment of high-wheeled scooters.

Over 270,000 units sold from 2001 to date bear witness to the huge success of the Piaggio Beverly, that has earned a reputation as an agile, safe scooter ideal for riding in town that also offers guaranteed comfort and reliability for short and medium range touring.
For the year 2010, Beverly is coming back fully revamped both in style and technology and promises to dominate the next decade.

Design

The elegant, sophisticated lines of the new Piaggio Beverly stem from a careful review of its traditional styling elements that evolved into a totally new, elegant design that is a strong reminder of the Beverly's past and success history.
The front end is eye-catching, with the new dual-reflector headlight assembly and the turn indicators integrated into the innovative LED daylight running lights at the sides of the distinctive chrome element in the middle of the leg shield.
The Beverly's character is stronger than ever.
Classic styling gives way to a more contemporary design. Dynamism and elegance merge into a sportier look and the sleek, slimmer tail echoes the lines of the new front end and is topped off by top-notch taillight with LED stop and daylight running lights. The innovative use of colour and materials lends the new Beverly an automobile-style look. The two-colour scheme of the bodywork, with coloured parts alternating with aluminium-look painted inserts blends in with the matching coloured saddle and interiors. The innovative metal-look finish central element running along the vehicle enhances its sleek lines and its muscular, dynamic attitude. The details of handlebar, leg shield back plate and central tunnel - that fits a new, motorcycle-derived tank cap - complement the unique, unmistakably Italian design of the scooter.

Beautiful and elegant, comfortable and functional, the new Piaggio Beverly is even more comfortable than its record-breaking predecessor.
The geometry of the triangle dictated by saddle, handlebar and footrest has been revised for improved rideability and offers a better fit for taller riders, while retaining the Beverly's distinctive riding position, that gives the rider a motorcycle-style feeling of total control.
The saddle with different ride heights for rider and passenger - a distinctive feature of this model - has been re-modelled to facilitate foot to ground reach and new foams have been used to improve density and ensure the utmost comfort. The saddle can be conveniently released using the handlebar button or the lever in the glove box in the leg shield back plate.
The helmet compartment was also fully re-designed and now offers 50% more capacity, making it the roomiest in its class and the only one capable of accommodating two full jet helmets. Again, the helmet compartment, now lit by a courtesy light, includes a convenient document compartment.
Load capacity is complemented by the practical luggage rack with integrated passenger grab handles, the match coloured glove box incorporated in the leg shield back plate and the retractable bag hook.

A turn of the key is all it takes to realize that the stylish design is backed up by advanced technology and a top-class equipment level.
Exhaustive, easy to read instruments with sophisticated pale blue lighting offer full information ready at a glance. The dashboard includes three round elements (speedometer, water temperature and fuel level indication) and a modern LCD offering trip meter, digital clock, battery voltage and ambient temperature indications, a set of warning lights for the immobilizer, fuel reserve, high beam, turn indicators, oil pressure and fuel injection system check lights.
The headlight sports a pair of halogen lamps for maximum brightness, whereas the daylight running lights use contemporary LED technology, ensuring high reliability and long life coupled with such benefits as lower consumption and high efficiency.
In addition, the new LED lights lend the new Beverly a captivating, unique look.

Chassis

Gritty engines and unique, effective chassis have been the key success factors of the most coveted high-wheeled scooter since its inception. Once again, the new Beverly's technology provides nimble, exhilarating riding and guaranteed top performance.

The double-cradle frame in high-strength steel and pressed sheet metal sports a conventional fork with 35 mm stanchions up front, while rear suspension is handled by a pair of double-acting helical-spring shock absorbers with adjustable spring preload offering 4 different positions. Especially developed for the new Beverly, they ensure optimal absorption of road bumps while delivering a neutral response and accurate handling.
Sturdy chassis, large wheels with 20-spoke light-alloy rims (16" x 3.00" up front and 14" x 3.50" at the rear) and large tyres (110/70 and 140/70, respectively) make for top-of-the-class riding comfort and road holding, while retaining superior handling and tractability.
Active safety is handled by the revised, powerful braking system. The front brake sports a large 300 mm semi-floating disc, the largest in the class, with double-piston floating calliper and a new 12-mm pump, delivering powerful, smooth braking. The rear brake features a 240 mm disc. This results in nearly half the effort required to pull the brake levers in order to obtain the same deceleration.

Engines

Piaggio Beverly comes with two different engines, with 125 and 300 cc capacity, both featuring electronic injection system.
The 300 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke 4-valve engine with electronic injection delivers a maximum power of 22.2 hp at 7,250 rpm, with a torque output of 23 Nm at as little as 5,750 rpm. With such specs comes a throttle response to match, coupled with feisty performance, making the new Beverly ideal both for tackling congested town traffic and for long-range touring in full comfort, whether riding solo or two-up.
The new Beverly's 125 engine is also equipped with electronic injection, significantly cutting consumption (- 20%) and maintenance costs (- 20%). In addition, the new ECS water cooling absorbs less energy and helps reduce fuel consumption.
With both engine capacities, the new Beverly is fast, sporty, spirited, and silky smooth thanks to electronic fuel injection, but also silent running and environment friendly. The oil-bath free wheel system reduces noise on start-up, whereas quiet running is enhanced by the new engine casing that also ensures improved drive train cooling.

Colours

Beverly 300 ie and 125 ie will be available in the elegant colour schemes Perseus Bronze, Pearl White, Midnight Blue, Cosmo Black and Antares Red.

Here is a stylish and decidedly sporty new mid-sized Honda scooter that really delivers on routine errands, short commutes and even enjoyable little getaways the 2011 PCX. Its modern good looks combine with easy handling to create a practical yet fun riding companion. Thanks to its strong-running 125cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected four-stroke engine and capable chassis, the 2011 Honda PCX 125 serves well for getting around town and even for backroad weekend adventures. With comfortable seating to accommodate the rider plus a passenger and a surprisingly large under-seat storage area that's big enough to swallow a full-face helmet and more, the 2011 Honda PCX 125 serves as an accommodating package that rolls economical transportation and a fun-filled ride all into one. With room for two, a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 125cc engine, a Honda V-Matic automatic transmission and tons of convenient storage everywhere, theres only one question left.

2011 Honda PCX125

Think you can handle being the center of attention when you show up on one?

How Much Fun Can You Pack Into 125cc?
The new PCXs liquid-cooled engine offers a perfect balance of power and terrific fuel economy. And theres plenty of room for a passenger.

More Than Meets The Eye.
The PCX is all about taking care of its rider. Exhibit A: the large seat and floorboards. You get room to move around and your passenger gets plenty of room too. The full-length floorboards and step-through design also makes getting on and off a whole lot easier.

It Doesnt Get Any Easier Than This.
Automatic transmission? Check. Locking under seat storage big enough for a full-face helmet? Check. Separate glove compartment? Check. Side stand and center stand? Check. Theft deterrent ignition cover with locking steering? Check. And the checklist just goes on and on.

2011 Honda PCX 125 Features

Parking Versatility The PCX gives you the choice of both a sidestand and a centerstand. That makes it easy to park for a fast dash into a store (the sidestand) or when you need to park it upright in a tight space (the centerstand). With a lot of other scooters, you only get one or the other.

PGM-FI Engine - With plenty of power to carry you and a passenger too, the PCX features liquid cooling and Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) for great performance in all traffic conditions. Plus PCX offers some impressive fuel economy too!

V-Matic Transmission - With the Honda V-Matic automatic transmission, riding couldn't be easier. Just start the engine, twist the gas, and go. The V-Matic means no shifting, ever so you concentrate on the road ahead and simply enjoy the ride! The V-matic is a continuously variable design, so you'll never feel it lurch from one gear to another. Smooth.

Convenient Storage - Flip that seat open and you have room for a full-face helmet and enough groceries for Thanksgiving dinner. The main compartment locks for security, and is weather-resistant too. There's even a second compartment in the dash for your mobile phone, wallet, or MP3 player.

Rider Comfort - That long, plush seat does more than just look comfortable it's probably nicer than that sofa in your living room. The stepped passenger section gives your copilot a better view. Besides great style, PCX's bodywork is all about function to help protect you from the wind and the elements. Add a helmet, gloves and a jacket and long pants, and you're good to go!

The PCX's standard Combined Braking System (CBS) links the rear brake to the front for sure stopping power. Squeezing the rear brake lever activates the rear brake as you would expect; however, the CBS automatically applies some front brake for additional stopping power.
