The 2012-KTM-65SX is the right sports machine for all up-and-coming riders. With a six-speed transmission, generous suspension travel & high-quality parts, the mini-crosser provides everything necessary for having plenty of fun & laying the foundation for a promising MX career. Its incomparable peak power & fully adjustable suspension parts reinforce its claim to being number.

2012-KTM-65SX

2012-KTM-65SX-Engine with PCEV : The two-stroke engine on the 65 SX excels, thanks to its PCEV (Pressure Controlled Exhaust Valve) exhaust control system, with a great deal of torque from the bottom end up and a very linear power delivery makes this bike very easy to ride. Consistent high performance is ensured by the cooling circuit featuring integrated crankcase cooling.

2012-KTM-65SX-Frame and suspension components : The completely redesigned upside-down telescopic fork from WP Suspension with 220 mm (8.66 in) suspension travel and the WP shock absorber provide adjustable compression and rebound damping. The stable steel frame on the 65 SX has a bolted-on, light alloy subframe. The newly developed, fully adjustable WP telescopic fork is generously dimensioned with 35 mm (1.38 in) outer tubes and the anodized handlebar from Renthal are manufactured from a high-quality aluminum alloy. Standard equipment also includes a hydraulic clutch and braided steel brake lines. KTM has spared nothing on the 65 SX.

2012-KTM-65SX-Brakes : The front brake on the 65 SX has been further refined and now provides an even better pressure point thanks to the new, stiffer 4-piston brake caliper. The action of the brake lever has been even better adapted to the requirements of young racers in favor of finer controllability and more efficient force transmission. Four-piston brake calipers and wave type rotors at the front and rear only the highest-quality components are used on the 65 SX's Formula brake system. Aluminum spoked wheels and the nickel-coated exhaust system round off the image of a best-equipped mini-crosser with a first-class finish.

2012 KTM 50 SX

The chassis on the 2012 KTM 50SX is equipped exclusively with high-quality components from the sturdy chrome-molybdenum steel frame to the newly developed WP upside-down fork. The torsionally, extremely stiff 1.38 in telescopic fork with new, forged triple clamps and 7.28 in suspension travel provides perceptibly better ride stability and more comfortable suspension. With High-quality brakes, hydraulically actuated disc brakes, with wave type brake rotors at the front and rear.

2012-KTM-50SX

Aluminum alloy Renthal handlebars designed specifically for the 2012 KTM 50SX contribute to the ergonomic package for optimum control. Power is now even more controllable with the new Domino throttle grip. The new, dual-compound rubber grips on the handlebar provide a secure hold for the hands, with the cross bar bearing a crash pad should you need one.

The liquid-cooling system of the 2012 KTM 50 SX, with two large radiators and additional cooling for the crankcase, prevents the engine from overheating, even under the most extreme loads. Besides that, the smallest KTM can still take a fair bit of punishment from bike-to-bike contact or contact with the ground.

KTM ensured of stability in MX World Championship factory team right through to 2013

The Red Bull Teka KTM Racing Team enjoyed its most successful season ever in 2010 and has made of very positive start to racing in 2011 thanks to the passion, skill and dedication of the entire factory team and the ongoing commitment to the company's unique racing DNA by KTM's CEO Stefan Pierer. KTM has secured stability for its top class MX World Championship factory racing team right through to 2013, Motorsports boss Pit Beirer has reported.

2011-KTM-Factory-Rancing

Going into the new season, Pit Beirer has also paid tribute to the "great cooperation" with Claudio De Carli, the manager of MX1 World Champion Antonio Cairoli.

De Carli and Cairoli came into the team together at the beginning of the 2010 season and Tony went on to win the MX1 title riding the KTM 350 SX-F bike in its first year of release.

"We have enjoyed a great cooperation with Claudio De Carli and we very much appreciate and respect his work with the factory team," Beirer said, speaking from the company headquarters in Mattighofen, Austria. "Now we can look forward to continuing to work closely with Claudio and Tony right through to the end of the 2013 season."

Pit Beirer said he was particularly pleased that as well as acquiring the extended services of MX1 world champion Tony Cairoli for the coming seasons, also his teammate Max Nagl and the team's MX2 duo Ken Roczen and Jeffrey Herlings would remain with Red bull Teka KTM Factory Racing until the close of the 2013 season.

He underlined that it was also very important for the continuity of the team's development that KTM had secured the extended services of factory team manager and multi world champion Stefan Everts right through the 2013 season.

Beirer said the entire Red Bull Teka KTM factory team could now settle down, work hard and move forward to the next stage of its development. "We have both continuity and commitment for the team and this is very important for building our future," he said.

2011 KTM 125 Duke Street-Bike

The 2011 KTM 125 Duke street-bike will serve entry-level riders, with Europe adopting a graduated licensing system that caps engine displacement at 125cc for beginners. The little Duke gets its go from a 124.7cc Single. The four-stroke single-cylinder is liquid-cooled, with a four-valve head actuated by dual overhead cams. A low-slung exhaust exits directly behind the engine and under the swingarm, Buell-like in its appearance.

2011-KTM-125-Duke

Bosch fuel injection feeds the 125, with claimed power production topping out at 15 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and 8.9 lb-ft torque at 8000 rpm. A six-speed transmission transmits the beginner-friendly pony production to the rear wheel via chain drive.

The Duke 125 frame is chromoly trellis, with steel subframe. WP suspension units consist of an inverted 43mm fork and rear shock, with both units delivering 6.3 inches of travel. Brakes were developed with Brembo with single disc units in the front and rear.

Styling of the small Duke befits its larger-displacement siblings, but KTMs learner Duke weighs in at a diminutive 282 pounds, including a full 2.9-gallon tank. Seat height is 31.9 inches.

Austrian manufacturer KTM headed north to Cologne, Germany and the INTERMOT Bike Show to debut its 125 Duke street bike. The 125 concepts made their first appearances during last years round of Euro bike shows, with a Stunt and Race version. The production version will carry the firms Duke moniker and hit the European streets in the Spring of 2011.

Euro youngsters may long for the performance of the more potent Dukes, but while they pay their dues in the EUs tiered licensing at least they can look the part with the new 125. As with any of the entry-level rides in Europes robust 125cc class, dont expect the newest Duke to ever see action here in the USA.

KTM PRESS RELEASE

PERFECTLY POSITIONED: THE KTM OFFROAD MODEL YEAR 2011

KTMs Mattighofen factory in Austria has invested a huge amount of effort in developing the latest Offroad motorcycles for the 2010 season with the clear aim of improving the advantage on loose ground even more. Star of the KTM model range is the revolutionary MX1 innovation, the 350 SX-F.

The current motorsport season is well underway and the KTM factory riders have already claimed a slew of podiums on the latest Made in Austria Offroaders. Now the sports brand from Austria presents the line-up of brand new motorcycles for the Model Year 2011.

With three high quality and competitive Minicycle variants for the youngest offroad enthusiasts, a total of six uncompromising Motocross motorcycles especially designed for winning races as well as eight versions of Sport Enduros, the Austrian manufacturer presents the perfect line-up for the coming season. In doing so, KTM once again underlines its leading role in the world of Offroad sports activity.

The huge amount of depth of development in the new Offroad model range extends all the way from the 50 cc two-stroke (50 SX) right up to the powerful displacement of the Enduro 530 EXC-R. In between there is a whole range of tailor-made sports machines for every type of offroad riding and for every rider profile, all absolutely true to the KTM Ready to Race philosophy. KTM has just the right machine, regardless of whether its for the ambitious hobby rider or the ruling world champion.

As well as the huge development effort that the KTM technicians have applied to the entire model range, these new motorcycles still include some very special innovations. This especially applies to the 350 SX-F, which was first exhibited last autumn. This, the first ever 350 cc bike deployed in the MX1 World Championship, has already been mastered by factory riders Antonio Tony Cairoli and his Red Bull KTM teammate Rui Goncalves. Cairoli not only won the premiere race for the 350 machine; after his GP victories, he is also leading the championship standings.

In addition to the unique engine concept, the MX lineup for the 2011 also includes a newly developed frame and chassis components.

The Enduro models, which have been similarly decorated with world championship titles all also profit from the massive amount of experience gathered by not less than 176 World Championship titles. This can be seen both in the feather light two-stroke versions as well as the highly modern and performance powerful four-stroke models. With significant improvements in a while range of areas as well as the extensive series equipment, these machines are prepared in the best possible way for the new racing season.

The new Motocross, Enduro and Minicycle models will be delivered to KTM dealers from June of this year.
